What is it like doing a professional photoshoot with Masha?

​

1. Your photo session begins in the imagination of your photographer who most likely surfs the web for inspiration, fun ideas, and creative posing - call it a homework, if you will.

2. As a photographer who works with children I invest time in making sure my studio and props are clean and ready to be used. Depending on how complex my setting will be, I often use assistance and the pre-shooting arrangements do take some time.

​

3. Every photo shoot requires some sort of artistic setting from something as simple as a back drop that needs to be set up along with the professional lights or wind machine to a cozy Christmas-themed studio.

4. I spend anywhere between an hour to three hours on a full photo shoot depending on how cooperative my little models are or how many people are in the picture.

5. Post-production does not begin until the files are transferred onto my computer which may take up to an hour.

​

6. Once the files are transferred, I review them for obvious defects such as closed eyes or occasional out-of-focus pictures.

​

7. I then select my absolute favorites and edit each image ( I spend between 30 minutes to an hour on each).

​

8. I sort through the selected images once again for those with "something special" in them such as facial expressions, maybe an interesting composition, maybe a golden flare etc. etc. and edit those.

9. Finally, I convert every single image into the most commonly used format recognized by all computers, such as JPEG, and upload them to Google drive for your download.
